Brands own their experiences. D8N owns the reusable capabilities beneath them, and the trust people can see.
Authentic people, safer interactions, scam prevention and privacy, wherever you see the mark.
Identity, discovery, matching, chat, live, trust, commerce and intelligence, shared by every brand.
Selected capabilities through APIs, SDKs and managed services, once they are proven by our own brands.
Verification, authenticity, risk, intervention and bad-actor defence, working together across every D8N-powered experience.
What evidence do we have that this identity claim is genuine?
Identity documents and biometric evidence never sit with ordinary app data.
Each D8N product makes the trust layer smarter. Each improvement makes every product safer.
If more than one brand needs it, it belongs to D8N. Brands configure it with policy, not forks.
One identity per person, kept separate from each brand profile, with shared media, notifications and a common event vocabulary.

Each brand owns its audience, tone and experience. Shared infrastructure never means shared public identity.
Marriage-oriented dating, with onboarding built for serious intentions.

Dating designed for South Africans, from sign-up to first date.
New experiences launch through configuration on D8N, not by cloning an app.
Every D8N mark is backed by a documented assurance. Tap one to see what was checked, when, and what it doesn't mean.
Visit the Trust Centre →What it doesn't mean: a verified identity doesn't guarantee someone's intentions. Always follow safety guidance.
Our own brands are the first customers and proving ground. Selected D8N capabilities will open to partners through APIs, SDKs and managed services.

Short answers, and what each one does not mean. The Trust Centre carries the full detail.
D8N is trust infrastructure for dating and social products: one identity per person, identity verification, AI-fake and stolen-photo detection, romance-scam protection, discovery and matching, chat and live video, and multi-currency payments. Capabilities are built once and configured per brand, which is how D8N runs three dating brands on one backend — Date9ja in Nigeria, DateZA in South Africa and HookUs globally.
Not yet, as a self-serve product. D8N's own brands are the first customers and the proving ground, and selected capabilities will open to partners through APIs, SDKs and managed services once they are proven there. If you are planning a dating or social product, register your interest and we will tell you what is ready and when.
That a brand is a configuration of the platform rather than a fork of it: its own name, domains, theme, markets, policies and pricing, running on identity, matching, chat, payments and the trust layer that are already built. That is how D8N launches its own brands, and it is why the second brand costs less than the first. Partner launches are part of Build on D8N, which is not open yet.
D8N Real tests photos for generation artefacts, for reuse elsewhere on the internet, and for duplication across accounts, and checks presence live rather than from an upload. Generated faces are held before a profile goes live, rather than removed after the first report.
Chat is a trust sensor as well as a feature. Message risk is assessed in the message path, so a money request from a recent match raises an elevated risk state with reasons attached, and the recipient is warned inside the conversation. Scripted accounts running the same opener are linked and actioned together, and D8N Guard stops confirmed abusers returning under a new account — across every brand on the platform.
That a member passed identity checks at a defined assurance level: liveness, face match, and where the brand's policy requires it, a document or age check. It is not a criminal background check, and it is not a judgement of anyone's character or intentions.
It is D8N's commitment that scam prevention is part of the platform rather than a per-brand feature: verification before interaction, risk signals during it, intervention when risk rises, and enforcement that survives a new account. It is deliberately worded as a promise and not a guarantee — no platform can promise that nobody will ever be deceived.
Nobody, in ordinary operations. ID documents, biometric evidence and fraud evidence live in the D8N Trust Vault, separate from the operator surface and purpose-limited to the check they were collected for. Staff working a case see a verification status, not the underlying document, and exceptional access is logged and reviewed.
Markets are configuration rather than code. D8N runs its own brands in Nigeria and South Africa, and HookUs globally, across cards, wallets and bank transfers with per-market pricing in local currency. Adding a market is a payment provider relationship plus configuration, not a rebuild.
